 3045 spectators arrived at De Leeukop, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. The match took place on neutral ground. A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Skat. The following players took the field: Boti - Zahl, Carrara, Friese - Fielt, Muñoz, Ibero, Coudert - Acsády, Mattiolo, Berckmans.

 Falcon tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Lineup: Barel - Pedraza, Zora, Pant - Groza, Thyner, Ovindo, Schönherr, Tax - Deschutter, Corte-Real.

 Some great play up the middle by Skat led to a chance for Paolo Mattiolo to get the go-ahead goal after 19 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. Falcon's Fredrik Thyner was shown a yellow card after 27 minutes for slicing down an opponent. After 28 minutes, Skat's Paolo Mattiolo fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. After 29 minutes, the visitors nearly went up a goal, but Fredrik Thyner's free kick hit the crossbar. The terraces were silenced after 30 minutes when Falcon's Massimiliano Marco Zora put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. Bernard Coudert has acquired a talent for predicting the movements of the opposing defence over the years and this almost resulted in a goal 37 minutes into the match. With the scoreboard showing that 38 minutes had been played, Falcon nearly put themselves up another goal after Koen Tax came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. This half belonged to Falcon, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

 After 46 minutes, Skat switched Uge Muñoz with Hernán Colorado, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Given a free kick at a sharp angle, Skat went for a variation that loyal fans may recognize from training. A sideways passing move moved the defence out of position and let Henrik Friese slip through on goal. No hesitation - and it's 1 - 1, 54 minutes into the game. As the 60 minute approached, the Skat coach decided it was time for a substitution. Fernando Carrara reluctantly made way for Germán Gagliardi on the pitch. Falcon's Massimiliano Marco Zora gave the visitors a 1 - 2 lead after 66 minutes with a superb strike from the right. 75 minutes into the match, Jorge Corte-Real came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. After 78 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Kristian Schönherr to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 3. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Skat's Paolo Mattiolo was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 78 minutes. Jozef Kantelberg was given a chance to change things around. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Falcon, with an impressive 52 percent possession of the ball.

 Tedo Ibero performed admirably for Skat. Bernard Coudert on the other hand, had a terrible day. Falcon's best player was Fredrik Thyner. On the other hand, Rutgerus Barel's play was disheartening.
